The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York is part of the congressionally chartered, nationwide Federal Home Loan Bank System, created in 1932 to provide a flexible credit liquidity source for member community lenders engaged in home mortgage and neighborhood lending. The largest of 11 district banks in the FHLB System, the new 64,000 sq. ft. location in New York City required Lilker Lighting Group’s lighting design services.

The spaces include a lobby / reception area, executive suite, trading floor, offices, boardroom, meeting spaces, pantries, lunchroom, and dramatic 2-story connecting staircase. FHLBNY’s new home reflects the highest standard of wellness in workplace design, featuring a spacious, open plan, individual controls for adjustable workstation height and dimmable lighting, visual connections to the exterior, and daylight-responsive illumination at perimeter spaces.
