Celebrating two decades of designing row house villas in this neighbourhood and always something fresh and new.
The strict conditions of a narrow and long row house, and municipal restrictions, for example, the obligatory sloped roof) bring to the table the formal questions of how to handle, light, air, and circulation.
The programatic question is yet another delicate and intriguing issue. building a new home is something families normally do once or twice (if at all) in their lifetime. and although family dwellings have a variety of good prototypes and and people visit and live in what they believe is good. The format of how the a specific family in our constantly changing social, health, and family structures lives might be questioned and analysed to see if one can open the door to raise some fresh, new ideas.
Architects should bring fresh and open ideas to the table of each project. work hard to be site and program specific in the most efficient and minimalistic manner. the beauty is inherited product of the journey and therefor tailor-made.
So, I present case study #293 :) Thanking the open minded families who work hard to investigate and explore tailor made concepts of living.
In This case a family of 5 and a dog. psychologist, painter and medicine importer, three adolescent boys and a dog.
