In an effort to consolidate several smaller offices and develop a design standard, FCS Financial hired us to design prototype lending facilities for seven locations across Missouri. Capturing the local and regional vernacular was essential to reflect the mission of this agricultural lending institution.
Zinc roof and gable end panels mimic local rural architecture and carry a timeless aesthetic. Copper tones emphasize the building’s entrance. Full-height windows at either end mimic sliding barn doors. Natural stone from local quarries and warm tones of brick reflect the regional landscape and geology while reinforcing a strong, steadfast presence.
A central entrance/lobby separates the building into two parts; one half for work spaces with private offices and open workstations, the other for support functions such as meeting rooms, break areas, restrooms, and storage. The office portion was oriented for future expansion. The prototype offices range in size from 6,740 to 9,280 square feet.
