The project is specifically located within the area devoted to Takhte Foulad mausoleums and graveyard (the previous cemetery), in Isfahan. The designer’s effort is to inspire movement and life in the area, a novel and dynamic image yet carrying signs of the traditional Persian architecture, including a symbol of veranda facing the main street. Glancing investigation of the formation process of Iranian school represents a fundamental and spatial change based on time and condition of each period from the era of Safavi till now. The linear organization is a significant matter that plays a main role in all the past and contemporary projects. Sometimes in their combination, they create introverted spaces, and sometimes they represent extraversion. Considering a few changes in the Iranian contemporary system of education in the last years, it seems that the linear organization system still responsive to educational spaces. Fazili conservatory and research center as a contemporary educational space tries to experience the new and different achievements in the creation and formation of educational spaces and organization of masses, voids, and greenery by considering the Iranian educational system, loyalty to lin-ear organization system, and Scrimmaging with some difficult challenges in construction. This experience is a product of designing over 30 educational projects in different scales and levels which is gained by 12 years of researching and designing the educational spaces in Isfahan. IDEAS TO DESIGN Linear system as a successful designing system in educational placement has applied to this project differently. It has tried to make dynamic and sprightly spaces for users and students of art by logical twisty movements.
• Making open spaces and varied yards on different surfaces are considered major ideas in this design.
• Designing an urban and local framework that one can be appropriate for the city appearance (40m street) and the other corresponds to frameworks and local features (8m street)
• Coordination between the facets in the two projects to unify the outer appearance is done by using blank spaces that remind us of the veranda in Iranian architecture to some extent.
Smart systems also have been considered for the cooling and ventilation systems of the whole complex as well as all the lighting systems and securities in order to cause more comfort for both the employees and the students.
