Apart from the vital receptions area and bedrooms, new functions were requested of the new floor by the client: a study, a library, and a workshop.The client requested to add a new level and transform the two-storey building into a large and comfortable urban villa.Our intention was to preserve the old 19th-century house and to design the new addition as loftlike rooftop. The final outcome perpetuates the historical layering of the previous periods on the fade, while the interior space is unified by light driven through a vertical patio.
