The new 19,000 sf gymnasium at Far Hills attained LEED Gold Certification for high performance and sustainability. The gymnasium is set into a hillside, mitigating its visual mass while also reducing heating and cooling loads. The upper portion of the gym is clad on three sides in lightweight, luminous panels that provide glare-free diffuse daylight. The new public entrance is a skylit atrium that serves as a pre-function space for the gymnasium and auditorium while connecting the facility to the outdoors.
