The family house is situated on the glade, low populated area of Pojatno, surrounded by houses and space without a predefined context. In the wider area there are several older wooden houses that define the genius loci and can be considered higher quality architecture. Microlocation left the option of playing with the form within the given function. The desire of a young married couple with two children was to have a house of modern expression that takes elements of local architecture. By selected materials (natural concrete, rough stone, aluminum, pine wood, glass), form and local spatial solutions (large porch, central fireplace) is created space that provides privacy, but also emphasizes the best view to the landscape. Neglecting the classical tripartite division in shaping and using of materials has created a dialogue between a contemporary perception of space and rural environment.Over the porch accented with roof element in anodized aluminum, in the northeastern part of the parcel, is access to the hall, from which it enters into a unified space that contains living room, dining room and kitchen. Living room has double height and together with the remaining associated rooms is oriented towards the southeast with a view to the north side of the mountain Medvednica. In front of the unified space is a large covered terrace with integral concrete bench and space for the outdoor stay, storage timber, the external and internal fireplace, that are also the central element around which is organized the remaining inner and outer space. The materials appearing on the facades and roof appear in the interior, thus negating the border between the outer and inner space, which highlights the relationship with the environment. From enterance, through the dressing room , winding staircase is accessed in the northwest part of the house.Upstairs are two bedrooms for children, bedroom for parents with separate cloakroom, two bathrooms and galleries oriented towards living room. Parents' bedroom is glazed towards double height space and has a visual connection to the central area of residence. Small terrace is accessed through gallery on the first floor. In the basement of the house is a boiler room, wine cellar, holding and storage. These spaces also have separate entrance on the west side of the house.
