Tight, grown, stabilized building structure above the river in the southern tip of Černošice. The valley, the proximity of the river and the bridge, the view of the opposite bank, the rural atmosphere.

The original task was to transform the weekend house used by ancestors into comfortable, all year round vacation spot. However, the charms and atmosphere of the place influenced the builders (who until then lived in the Prague apartement) so much, that they decided to move here permanently after the construction works.
We were looking for an efficient use of the existing floor plan with minimal intervention. We tried to use original elements and surfaces with all their history, wear and tear, magic.
We mirrored original layout of the ground floor and placed a living room with a kitchen facing the garden. From here we also created new entrance to the attic (previously unused) with a new staircase. We used the space below the staircase as a pantry. Now there are two bedrooms and a bathroom in the attic. The backyard is still at the stage of transformation.
The house reflects complexity of different natures, tastes and interests of its inhabitants.
