Architecture touching the nature
The factory MAYA, production of bottled water, is located on 905M.A.S.L. and is completely isolated in the mountain area. It is composed of two cubes penetrating, touching each other, one the production plant and the other administration and accommodation block. Several open or semi-open spaces throughout the building are serving for relaxed employees’ breaks. The very production plant is approximately with 5000m2, and the office and the accommodation block with another 1200m2 open and closed area. The entrance hall is penetrating with its volume everywhere and is spread out through all the floors, changing direction, but following the main horizontal and vertical communications creating one fluid space with no borders at all. The entrance is going outside through the big glass curtain walls and the same happens with the production hall. Those two areas connect with the energy and the spirit of the location and narrate the main idea of this project i.e. to connect the inner and the outside, attempt to make one single unity of the space with no borders. Up the front, this building, this factory has emphasized goal and idea to satisfy all the functions and needs, and what is more to satisfy the need of the environment (location), to take care for the employees, to enable a human place to work, to distinct itself from the classic definition of the inside and outside. This building is free of all the borders of uniformity and presents new architectonic re-presentation of the 'free Friday dress code' with all its transparency. This building, complex, is in touch with the nature emphasizing nature as much as possible, not ruining the nature but just complementing the nature and the mountain.
