Project idealized for the Exploratory Sciences Museum competition
Unicamp 2009.
Museum as generator of the scientific promenade, a
discovery of the existing human being, the scientific exploration. Since it’s
prehistoric relations until the noblest human beings discoveries.
The construction is the continuum of the existing one,
in a necessary change for the best space exploration. Thus the square is
incorporated in the passage to be traced by the visitor and the strong visual
relation with the coffee makes possible a new local exploration. From the
square born the functional change of the building, changing itself from the
daily work to a contemplation and exploration of the human scientific
knowledge.
Initially the neutral space makes possible recurrent
and considerable mutations. The building is molded to the topography, and thus
it makes possible different relations of scales, appearances, meeting and
possibilities. Thus the promenade is an experience to be acquired beyond its
expositions.
The construction is surrounded by technical galleries
that turn possible the most distinct exhibitions, not only for the floor or
lining, but also for all the surrounding space of the construction.
The main access is in a triangulated metallic cave, Its
structure diminishes the pressure suffered for the action of the winds, beyond
create an interesting fractal space.
