The new Expedia offices in Amman occupy 3 floors and a rooftop in an overlooking, centrally located office building. The space enjoys a 360 degree view over the city with floor to ceiling glass facades. The project, in collaboration with Scott Brownrigg London, combines digital technology and a futuristic vision with materials and forms inspired by the local traditions and unique locations of Jordan. The interior design of the offices was designed to promote co-working, communication, and collaborative learning by using a variety of space functions and areas from small private quiet booths, to varying sizes of meeting spaces and communal lounges and town halls. This provides for all types of interactions and collaborations that enhances the work efficiency and environment. The materials used in the finishing and furniture are responsibly sourced, with high environmental performance and durability, while achieving a home-like feel in line with the organization’s values and culture.
