"Cardenal Alameda" is located at the historic center of Mexico City, inside the Hilton Hotel. It is the fourth establishment of the Cardenal´s chain restaurant.
In 2013, the demand of the restaurant exceeded the original capacity, which led to proceed to its expansion.
The kitchen and diner area required to grow a more natural light. For this purpose the walls were demolished and a glass wall with Oaxaca tiles print took its place. This change makes possible to observe what occurs in the kitchen, giving the opportunity to the personnel to participate in the restaurant event.
The mexican artisanal design is kept the same as well. A new ceiling cut by hand was created with the matching motives as the kitchen, creating spots on the inside surface.
On the main wall was placed an extended collection of graphic documents, making allusion to the historical events that the "Alameda Cental" past by through the years.
