Tracing recent shifts in the discource concerning computational design in the architectural, engineering and design community, the exhibition investigates the current state of research and design. As part of an annual conference, the exhibition supplemented the conference ACADIA 2010 LIFE in:formation in New York City. The design of the exhibition utilizes a computation procedure that crowdsources the ACADIA community to determine contemporary ideas and developes a tool to determine relationships between the peer-reviewed exhibitor’s projects, the invited exhibitor’s project and the larger ACADIA community. Based on the established relationships, the algorithm determines the location of the individual projects in the gallery space as well as the attributes of the display cones suspended from the celiing.
