EVOLO-2009 Scyscraper "SEA JUNC"

The location.
…Russian Federation, Sankt-Petersburg, Gulf of Finland, Kotlin island…
The place for a skyscraper arrangement is chosen not casually - here, on
this island, the basic transport streams near Sankt-Petersburg - an automobile
roundabout ring road and a sea way to Baltic sea converge. It is the J U N C tion.The
largest seaport which will connect Sankt-Petersburg with Western and the Eastern Europe nearby is under construction.
Main Idea.
Vessels passing under windows of this modern skyscraper and a motor
transport stream will give necessary dynamics and energy for successful
development of business – occurs some kind of reconsideration of the given
territory, filling by its new life, giving to it of the new functions meeting
the advanced requirements.
Social
the importance.
The given object will allow to solve a number of problems in this remote
city district where lives nearby 50000 persons, such as: creation of new
workplaces, increase of the social status of area, filling by a various infrastructure

On island Kotlin there is the Sea Cathedral constructed in 1913 which
patron are the water elements. The Cathedral floor is laid out in the form of a
sea-bottom. Thus bionical the building form is caused by communication with an
island symbol - the Sea Cathedral and with natural forms. The building
structure, under the form reminding sea inhabitants, symbolises the water
world.
Building life-support.
All power processes in a building are as
much as possible self-sufficient, energy of the sun, a wind, water is actively
used, for cooling of premises in the summer and warming up in the winter water
undertakes directly from a gulf, being processed in special installations. It is used thedouble-skin faсade.
In a high-rise part it is provided atrium, filled with light, with the
microclimate where there will be an eternal summer, green gardens, rest zones,
fountains, waterfalls.
