Apartamento Evidence, designed by Bohrer Arquitetos, embraces minimalist warmth and timeless language in Maringá
Designed by Bohrer Arquitetos, the interior project of Apartamento Evidence, with 161 sqm, explores the creation of a quiet and contemplative atmosphere, shaped by a neutral color palette, organic forms, and natural elements. Located in Maringá, in the state of Paraná, the proposal approaches space as a sensitive support for everyday life, where materials, volumes, and textures act as mediators between the inhabitant and their experience of living.
The layout promotes generous fluidity across the social areas, with subtle transitions between the living room, dining area, kitchen, and balcony. This integration is reinforced by continuous elements – light wood panels, linear shelving, and built-in cabinetry – that organize the spatiality without interrupting the visual flow. The curation of furniture deepens this fluid reading: sculptural coffee tables, organically shaped seating, and light volumes compose a cohesive and welcoming arrangement.
The chromatic palette is guided by neutral and natural tones – sand, light gray, white, and wood – creating a quiet and luminous background that evokes the Scandinavian style. However, this aesthetic is reinterpreted here: it gains warmth through tactile textures, the presence of greenery, and the selection of objects with Brazilian identity, such as handcrafted ceramics and relief artworks with organic language.
The notion of a residential gallery emerges through the way objects occupy the space. Rather than decorative filling, the project adopts a logic of pause and intention: open niches, sparsely populated shelves, uncluttered surfaces, and indirect lighting create an environment that values the essential and invites contemplation. Within this context, affective minimalism unfolds as a pursuit of an unpretentious yet nuanced aesthetic – an architecture that embraces without overwhelming.
The balcony expands the spatiality with the same compositional rigor as the interiors, exploring the continuity of materials and the use of natural light as an element of integration. Furniture with organic shapes and the deliberate presence of plants emphasize the connection between inside and outside, promoting a fluid and welcoming transition.
In the bedrooms, the softness of surfaces is counterbalanced by the geometric presence of a wooden slatted panel, which functions as both a visual filter and a spatial organizer. The arrangement of furnishings and the choice of textiles in warm tones and gentle textures reinforce the introspective and sensorial nature of these intimate spaces.
By articulating a contemporary language, timeless formal vocabulary, and conscious use of materials, Apartamento Evidence presents itself as a study in synthesis – a space that balances precision and softness, rationality and emotion.
