The project is located in a heavily wooded 86,111 sq. ft. (8000 sq. mts) plot in the Florida neighborhood in southern Mexico City. The brief required the construction of a luxury apartments complex and the headquarters for the foundation that finances the project.The buildings are placed in such a way that all the existing trees are preserved. The facades are covered with plants as a camouflage strategy that conceals them behind the trees and give to the interior of the apartments the sensation of living on the treetops.All the parking and service areas are located below the buildings to maximize the porosity of the soil and to avoid any visual obstruction on the ground level which becomes a continuous garden from the access on to the back of the plot. The ground level apartments are protected with a “land fold” covered with bushes that warrants their privacy and allows them to enjoy of a 2152 sq. ft. (200sq mts) private patio that surrounds them.The rooftops are covered with a wooden deck that fades out to the vegetation of the facades. In these roof gardens the inhabitants of the apartments can have gatherings, meals, parties or enjoy the views of the gardens and the surroundings.The complex haves an amenities building that includes a workout area, a swimming pool, a ballroom and a cafeteria and is surrounded by ponds and the different sceneries of the gardens.
