Our firm completed an extensive historic restoration of this former hotel-turned-residential building. Work included rebuilding the front parapets and all of several roof level structures that were in danger of structural collapse, replacing cracked terracotta ornamentation, and redesigning the Spanish tile roof areas to comply with NYC Building Code and the Landmarks Preservation requirements. All parapets and railings had to meet new code requirements as to strength and height. The exquisite stone ornamentation on the parapets and bulkheads was authentically replicated.
