This French Eclectic style house combines formal elements with informal spaces. The front of the house has a traditional layout with a grand foyer flanked by the living and dining rooms. The rear of the house features the informal spaces including the family room, study, and billiard room. The gourmet kitchen adjoins a sunny breakfast room which offers access to the back yard. A butler's pantry leads from the kitchen to the formal dining room. On the second floor, the master suite includes a large sleeping area, sitting room, his and her bathrooms, and two walk-in-closets. Each of the three additional bedrooms has a private bath and walk-in-closet. Walnut floors on both the first and second floors provide a sense of continuity throughout the house. On the exterior, the impact of the large three-car garage is visually minimized by placing the doors perpendicular to the street, facing the courtyard. The steep hip roofs and dormers with arch top windows evoke the French style.
