After years of ignoring its original warehouse aesthetic, this 2,400 square foot, two-story loft has been rehabilitated to show off its industrial roots. Layers of paint and drywall were stripped away to reveal original timber beams and masonry walls. The finish materials echo the industrial aesthetic, featuring reclaimed timber fireplace surround and wall material; stainless steel awning window; doors from a Montessori school; and metal pendant lights. To maximize interior light, portions of the floor have been opened, including a glass walkway at the second floor hall. The project also features custom book/computer shelving, nesting shoji doors, cabinetry, and a green roof terrace.
