Innovative office design in a unique industrial space.
Reid Brewin Architects have been providing architectural services to Equinix for the last 10 years, one of the world’s largest data centre providers.
The brief for this project was to transform a former French postal sorting office tower in to a contemporary and flexible workplace. The project includes a large open plan space on the 7th floor with large full height bay windows filling the office with natural light. This core work hub space is supported by a series of quieter, informal meeting spaces and traditional enclosed meeting rooms with integrated conference facilities.
The 6th floor houses a large conference room with floor to ceiling glazing across the full length of one elevation, informal break out spaces, a dining area and smaller partitioned meeting rooms with views out over the quickly developing Bobigny area.
The key existing architectural features of the project are enhanced by careful integration of the building services and intelligent acoustic and lighting systems.
Reid Brewin Architects worked closely with Equinix’s branding team to implement a vibrant signage package that includes striking wall graphics, privacy screens and room identification signs.
The project is an example of future workplace design; spaces can be easily adapted to suit evolving working behaviours.
