Refurbishment of existing façade and entry lobby to condominium building. The canopy design uses a lightweight aluminum stressed skin structure, folded much like a piece of paper to add stiffness to the section. This enables the canopy to cantilever six feet with minimal structure. The design incorporates a sound instillation. The instillation involves the recording of all building occupants’ “sense of home” and is piped into the space through the use of a sound cone. The idea is to bring each individual’s sense of home to the lobby.
