As part of a remodeling of a consulting firm that happened to be divided into two buildings by an open area used as parking, Ludens introduced to the project’s brief the construction of a pavilion that would not only links both buildings but that could become in itself an interactive platform where a sense of community within the workers could be stimulated. The pavilion is conceptualized, built and assembled with the minimum of architectural elements to leave room for a number of activities to take place in it. Thus, a slightly elevated floor, plus a light ceiling, and the aid of flexible and movable furniture allow the space to be transformed from the firm’s cafeteria, to a place for informal meetings to a platform where special events, such as the yearly dance, could take place.
