MP-ARCHITECTS was approached by ENISA, a European Union Agency for Network and Information Security, in order to design their offices in Athens, Greece. The whole structure consists of a Ground floor, a mezzanine and 2 floors, almost 2.300sq.m. in total.
The Ground floor hosts the Reception, 2 meeting rooms, the main conference room with a foyer, 3 rooms for office use, a storage room and toilets. The other three levels, mezzanine, 1rst and 2nd floor are reserved exclusively for office use.
On the Ground floor the dark woven vinyl floor in all areas takes center stage. The walls, the false ceiling at the entrance and the main corridor leading to the main Conference Room, are in the same dark grey color, giving the illusion that we are inside a grey box. All the above create a unique background for the “all in white” existence of the furniture and the lighting. At the center of the plan the main volume is covered externally with moss. Inside you can find a storage room and a staircase leading to the mezzanine. The vertical garden in “wasabi” color, in combination with the dark grey and the white elements, are specifically designed to improve the working environment. The two meeting rooms running alongside the moss wall, are separated from the corridor by transparent walls/partitions consisted of steel frame and glass.
The Reception/counter-desk is covered by white Thasos marble with 3d wave finishing. The structure includes a shelf, made of oak wood with 3d wave finishing too. This fluid concept for the reception desk is lining up with the approach of linear designing of the whole project
