This wooded estate includes a handsome 1930's English Country house, which was fully remodeled and expanded, including a new kitchen, his and her studies, conservatory, refurbished bedrooms and baths, and enlarged basement with wine cellar and billiards room.
A new poolhouse with guest suite, outdoor fireplace, and barbecue frame the house and lawn. Beyond that, a brick garden wall screens views of the tennis courts and creates a new precinct for the greenhouse and vegetable beds. The existing wood framed greenhouse also dates from the 1930s and was completely refurbished.
An enlarged pool and new brick patios complement the existing Thomas Church gardens, which were restored and expanded.
On one side of the house, a hedge maze takes you to a secret rose garden, while another path leads to the secluded writing studio, a place of solitude and introspection.
