Initially, this project was for an extension to the workshop of Julius Gaiser Gmbh & Co. but following an investigation of the company needs it became apparent that the existing premises, the office building on Blaubeurer Street, could be converted back to its orginal uses. The existing site offers sufficient space for workshops, order processing, storage and archive and a new building will be created for staff with modern, best practice working conditions. Urgent brief requirements, realised in the new scheme are:
- Soundproofing to Blaubeurer Street- Protection from sun and overheating- Energy efficiency and sustainability- Rooms for client presentations and seminars- Car-parking on the own premises.
Together with the client, we developed a 1,400 m² Engineering-Center for energy according to their business, building technique, was jointly with the company Gaiser an Engineering-Center to develop new energy concepts. The centre will be powered to 100 percent with renewable energy and will be 44 percent lower than ENEV.
