This public sports facility, located in the border city of Naco, provides safe spaces for recreation and sports activities. It consists of a covered court with community services that redefines a post-industrial area. The project offers a generous and flexible space that encourages a diversity of uses and promotes an enriching spatial experience.
Its design responds to a social discourse focused on the peripheries—both physical and symbolic—aiming to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged communities and provide civic services with limited resources. In doing so, the project seeks to remain accessible to all, strengthening community ties as a means to address high levels of insecurity and inequality.
