The Emilio Yap case room renewal involved the renovation of 2 traditional lecture halls into innovative spaces that promote both collaborative and individual work.
Case Room A features fixed ergonomic seats that rotate 360 degrees to allow the end-users to face each other and form small groups. Glass boards and smart tvs are mounted strategically along the perimeter wall for group presentations.
Left handed seats, extra large seats and areas for wheelchair were also provided.
Case Room B features layered conference tables and chairs, each with a retractable smart TV. These devices are linked to the main TV and projector used by the lecturer or facilitator.
Both case rooms took into consideration fixed and mechanical acoustic design for both lecture (microphone) and media presentations. Indirect and direct LED lighting fixtures were also used to allow flexibility for digital and writing work.
