The aerodynamic image of the building resembles an inverted turbine aircraft. The main objective of the project was to create the effect of a large-scale construction with a relatively small area.
This three-floored hotel building is designed for pilots to have a rest. It is constructed of elements of architectural and construction system “MONOFANT”. Architectural and construction system “MONOFANT” is designed for civil objects. The basis of the system is constructional anisotropic shells of optional Gaussian curvature. The shells are installed using sprayed concrete technology with no timber forms. The specified shape of reinforcement cage and permanent blockouts make the form. In addition to positive technical-economic values the applied structural concept is remarkable for its increased heat resistance and adequately high acoustic isolation.
