Elm House is a modern residential project in Los Angeles, designed for a vibrant family with a love for outdoor activities and indoor gatherings and named after the incredible Chinese Eml tree on the property.
The project uses natural building materials like brick and wood to create a minimal but warm architecture. The brick wall continues from the street to the back yard and cuts the building into two halves of public and private spaces. We have also been intentional with the use of glass as a building material to create a special relationship between indoors and outdoors.
