In looking to find a solution for the Electronic Music Foundation's wish to have their recorded sound library showcased in easily deployable units, JZA+D took a minimal and economical approach by transforming used shipping containers into multipurpose sound 'displays.' The containers' size and design made them perfect candidates for easy transportation as well as providing a strong structure to work from. Seating areas and sculptural elements were added to the interior of the containers, and were activated and enhanced by how the container is positioned, allowing great freedom to experiment with sound, reverberation, and light.
