This multi-building development project was a balancing act between razing two structures from the 80’s and renovating a fire station built in1957. Multiple tenant spaces were inserted into the fire station while preserving the shell of the existing building. A new freestanding retail building replaced a non-descript masonry warehouse. The site’s complex web of underground utilities and over-abundant City and County easements added an onerous layer of complexity to this adaptive re-use project. The end result is a two building, four tenant commercial complex totaling seven thousand square feet with two monument signs and fifty eight parking spots.
