El Herbal is a multi unit private housing project located in a rural area near a natural reserve with its own lake. The project is meant to hold nearly 20 cottages and is sold as a weekend getaway from a busy lifestyle in the city.
Its main entrance design concept is meant to display an abstract form of the mountain views around the complex, through a modern and simple aesthetic. A black metallic structure defines the structure, and withholds uniform, slatted cladding, through witch creepers can later on grow through.
The greenhouse grows organic food and is continuously distributed among the houses in the complex. The idea behind this feature is to cultivate a different relationship with the environment and a healthy lifestyle.
The playground area, steps away from a stereotypical concepts of parks by using the land forms as part of the children’s playing area, motivating a direct relationship with their environment.
