Hearkening to Modernist Mexican architecture of the 1940s was an intentional choice inspired by the chef’s dishes from his mother’s recipes and his Durango upbringing. Black and white historic photographs adorn the white walls, many photos are of the chef’s grandfather and family.
Using a beloved traditional building material of the style, hand-troweled plaster walls reflect sunlight and provides an airy feel to the indoor/outdoor concept. Wood tones in the main bar and from the furniture provide a warmth to accentuate the glow of the sun’s rays and the tremendous sunsets become the primary color palette.
