Located on the outskirts of Beirut, on a hill overlooking the busy city, the apartment occupies the 2 last floors of an existing building. The lower floor houses the living areas, the bedrooms and the kitchen; the upper floor caters for entertaining and leisure: a gym room, a home theater and an outdoor terrace.
All spaces have been conceived to address the view. On the roof terrace, the edges disappear to reveal a vertiginous uninterrupted vista. A glass balustrade sits at a lower level than the main terrace level; lounge chairs have been custom fabricated to fit within the surface of the floor deck; the infinity pool provides the same quality of view from the indoor gym room.
On the other side of the roof, the existing pitched profile of the building is transformed into a vegetable and flower stepped garden.
The living area on the lower floor features a long solid marble bar where the owners like to entertain their friends. Behind the bar, a sliding thick-framed mirror reveals a display of bottles and glasses fitted within a red reflective alcove.
