Public space of ,,Egoiste’’ showroom, designed by Amiran Patarkalashvili, is an integral structure, living a life of its own and consisting of harmoniously matched mobile elements.
The showroom, located in the Vere district of Tbilisi is not just a comfortable interior, but a landmark, introducing modern interaction principles into its immediate architectural setting.
Advanced architectural forms of the design far exceed the established stylistic borders – their constant transformation, “ability to communicate” and transparency fill the interior with energy and emotion. The place is an ideal setting for shopping and business. Publicly accessible parts of the showroom are seamlessly merged with the exterior. This synthesis affects the street setting, adding life and originality to this part of the district.
Amiran Patarkalashvili’s design is bold and original, expanding the limited space due to the autonomous topology of originally configured floor levels. Each horizontal and vertical plane of the interior is an ingen-ious decoration, a design collage. Individual quality of the interior if further highlighted by unusual harmony of its constituent parts, decorative elements and accessories, efficient application of daylight and artificial lighting, integral design composition, soft transitions of colors and dialogues of lines and figures. Key components of the design are sculptures, created by young sculptor Shota Kurtskhalia.
…And the most important feature of the showroom is its remarkably high transparency, which adds a mystical tinge to the interior and making the outside world look surprisingly ambiguous depending on how you move inside this space.
