The 40,000sf offices of ECS are located on two floors of an old Denver building that centered around an atrium. The space was being used for storage and back-of-house functions by a large institutional organization and its potential was overlooked. ECS leased the space for their headquarters and the design goals were to foster communication and teamwork within the organization, and present a fresh, forward-looking image to their visitors. The space features collaborative meeting spaces and open office areas with upbeat, dynamic colors. The atrium space serves as reception area, and is also used as a multi-purpose room for special functions. The atrium features a water wall which provides soft background sound to the adjacent office areas.
