We presented a new project to the public for consideration – a two-storey building for educational purposes at Herkaus Manto St. 84. This building will combine modern engineering and biotechnology laboratories and a medical simulation center for both student and faculty training and research. The total area of the building is 5850 m2.
The project envisages:
- Medical Simulation Centre: It will be equipped with ambulance simulations, operating rooms, universal wards, a reception room simulation area, auditoriums and staff rooms.
- Engineering Laboratory Corps: Ship Design, Seaports, Ship Model Manufacturing, Building Structures and Geotechnics, Mechatronics and Machinery Laboratories, Study Rooms, Auditoriums and Meeting Rooms are planned.
- Architectural solutions: the building is combined with the surrounding structures using a dark red façade display system with steel panel inserts and beige stone slabs.
- Accessibility: The building will be equipped with several elevators, ensuring convenient movement between floors.
This project will not only strengthen the infrastructure of Klaipėda University but will also contribute to the training of high-quality medical and scientific specialists. This is an important step towards modernizing the learning environment and fostering innovation in the region.
