Lyra residential building is the inaugural project we did for the Maya developer. Situated near the center of Araucária, in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, Paraná, this development occupies a 650.00m² plot. It aims to steer the neighborhood's growth, currently characterized by houses and urban voids.
Inspired by municipal regulations, the building introduces a fresh approach to the city's real estate market through its vertical living concept, construction standards, and the interplay between the structure and its urban context.
We designed an eight-story building, featuring one apartment per floor. On the ground level, in addition to the private unit, we arranged the common areas near the entrance with a higher ceiling to foster a comfortable interaction between communal and individual spaces. A canopy extends along the walkway to welcome and guide residents through the garden, creating a pleasant transition.
A spacious courtyard organizes the ground floor unit, preserves existing trees on the site and maintains a connection with the adjacent vegetation. This design choice creates a unique ambiance, with the apartment enveloping the garden.
With apartments ranging from 170.00m² to 250.00m², the tower's geometry is shaped by the narrow and elongated site. The curved staircase serves as the organizing axis, dividing the space into social and private zones. These well-defined sectors highlight the distinct characteristics of each area.
In the bedrooms, garden windows provide privacy and introspection. At the same time, in the social areas, balconies and large openings create a fully integrated space, merging the exterior landscape with the interior, akin to a suspended house.
The structure, made entirely of exposed reinforced concrete, benefits from prestressed slabs that impart lightness and slenderness to the building. Contrasting these features, aluminum composite material (ACM) and glass bring industrial precision, emphasizing the natural imperfections of the concrete.
