Designed for a young family with an affinity for contemporary elegance, Ede fuses artistic materials with meticulous details. Combining two adjoining units, the interiors serve as a crafted background to unobstructed views of Kowloon. To create a sense of tranquility against the dense cityscape, the design studio adopted a subtle palette with grey and brown undertones, juxtaposed with blue and gold accents. The curated journey begins with a shagreen paneled entrance doorway. The Foyer, lined with White River onyx, also includes a striking pendant light, setting the tone for entry into the grand residence. The living and dining spaces feature a Black Tie Italian leather sofa and a pair of Minotti armchairs, placed on a custom worsted wool and silk rug from Tai Ping. A key highlight of the design is the use of bespoke wall coverings throughout the home - from the hand-painted “Travertine” silk piece in the living room, to the playful geometric pattern featured in the children’s play area. The focal point of the dining room is another hand-painted silk wall covering with embroidered blossoms. In between the living and dining spaces is a mahjong area, where a gold-trimmed display shelf is displayed opposite a handmade chest by Italian artist, Valentina Giovando. Thoughtfully-styled vignettes divide these zones with chic elegance. The master suite showcases custom and collectible furniture pieces. In the master bathroom, a commissioned glass and marble mosaic wall contrasts with white stone and fogged glass for an added layer of refinement.
