There is a strong
connection between a historical context – witness of military engineering of
19th century - and the expectations of our time at the Buc fortress.The main themes
developped in this project are the transformation of historical heritage, inhabiting
the landscape – a troglodyte building with a forest as a roof, inhabiting the
history.Once the army retreated
from the fortress the municipality of Buc had to find a way of using this
complex of buildings in a way that would keep ecological and financial balance.Our proposal is based on
an idea of a Eco-Hotel.This choice ensures two
major demands:

putting the small
town of Buc under the spotlight by proposing a high quality architctural
project ;
–
conservation of the
existing buildings.
