The design was developed upon a request of the restoration team that stands behind the works of the old hotel “Jadran”. The hotel is a part of the Zobnatica tourist complex and the building is currently being converted into a modern four-star hotel. We took part in creating the best possible interior solution for its luxurious rooms, reception, and salon.
The design we created presents a mix of different styles that together make a whole story. Horses, of course, served as a leitmotif and one of the leading inspirations. Our task was to provide a modern response to a part of the great tradition, and we did this by mixing styles from different eras. The 1920s style served as the main inspiration because that was the era when people still used carriages as the main form of transportation. In recent years, this era has been fairly represented in many different design forms. We took this trend as a special challenge.
Thanks to the geographical position of the hotel and the colors included in the design, all the hotel areas seem airy and bright. The interior is in balance with the environment, which is especially striking during the warm days when guests usually spend time on the terrace. In spite of this, during winter, the facility is very warm. This is why “Jadran” can also be a fine choice for those who prefer snowy vacations.
