Echoes of Chianti
Echoes of Chianti reinterprets a historic Tuscan hillside ensemble through a dialogue between heritage and contemporary life. The restored Manor and Rustico are reconnected by a new Florentine-inspired courtyard, which becomes the social and spatial heart of the project, linking architecture, landscape, leisure, and daily rituals. The Manor reveals its original stone and brick fabric while introducing new visual and spatial connections, while the Rustico is transformed into a cultural and leisure destination centered around a wine gallery, spa, and pool. The landscape follows the natural topography, combining sheltered eastern gardens with open terraced views to the west. Original materials and elements are preserved alongside contemporary concrete interventions, timber, natural Tuscan tones, and refined Italian furniture and lighting. Rather than reconstructing the past, the project translates it into a contemporary architectural language, creating a cohesive environment where history, landscape, culture, and modern inhabitation coexist.
