Qiang Design (锵设计), operating under the core concept of “drawing inspiration from the East to create the artistic conception of electronic landscapes,” collaborated to bring the MEXTRA exhibition hall to life. We have always adhered to the philosophy of blending tradition with modernity, and we hope that every visitor who steps into the hall will, through the interplay of light and technology, experience the profound charm of Eastern culture and the unique spark created by the fusion of traditional aesthetics with contemporary design.
In the covered pavilion corridor, the lighting design is meticulously crafted to create an exceptionally harmonious atmosphere. The lights are artfully presented on the façade, avoiding the harsh glare of direct beams, bathing the entire corridor in a soft, even glow. This gentle illumination not only provides a more comfortable visual experience for visitors, but also allows the corridor’s structural beauty to harmonize seamlessly with surrounding design elements, evoking a tranquil, refined Eastern ambience throughout the space.
Upon entering the exhibition hall, the first thing that captures visitors’ eyes is a dynamic electronic screen with striking visual impact. The continuously changing imagery resembles layered mountain silhouettes in ink-wash paintings—sometimes bold and vibrant, sometimes subtle and ethereal—bringing the concept of “electronic landscapes” vividly to life. It is as though a gateway to the world of Eastern aesthetics swings open at the very entrance, tempting visitors to step inside and discover more.
Among the exhibition hall’s most interactive features are the electronic ink screens. As visitors move in front of them, the visuals respond in real time, flowing across the landscapes of the four seasons: spring’s blooming blossoms, summer’s lush greenery, autumn’s fiery foliage, and winter’s snowy serenity. Each scene flows like a living electronic ink painting. This dynamic interaction allows visitors to freely move and immerse themselves between the physical space and shifting light, experiencing a renewed vision of Eastern aesthetics enhanced by modern technology.
The flooring and pathways also reveal subtle ingenuity in their design. The rugged, rammed earth surfaces convey a natural, unadorned Eastern character, while the aluminum structures with futuristic tones provide a smooth, tactile touch, offering a warm and comfortable experience. The contrast between rough and refined, hard and soft, creates a fascinating sensory interplay, allowing touch to become another unique way to experience the exhibition’s design.
