Three new volumes appear on the existing roof of an industrial building. They are hosting a meeting room and two laboratories. A white metal shield connects the rooms, filtering the light, unifying the project and becomes a new skyline in the industrial area.
The architecture is designed to relate with the environment: the openings were positioned on the south to efficiently capture sunlight, while offering the best view of the surrounding hills. In addition, a metal screen covers the entire volumes, to facilitate the entry of sunlight in winter and filter by 50% to avoid overheating in summer.
The white metal profiles create continuous perspective effects with their shadows and reflections on the windows. White colour also recurs in the furniture inside which is an integration of the wall cladding and the holding function and furnishing. LASAstudio and Easytech together for sustainability, technology and energy efficiency.
In Easyboxes there are only heating and electric plant (for lighting). Both are powered by electricity. The radiating part is made by a membrane, width about 2 cm and thick few millimeters, which is "controlled" by a remote management system that uses the Easytech patented logical and is positioned immediately below the floating floor. In this way it is ensured maximum reactivity and effectiveness of the heating system that works for the most part by radiation without producing any type of electromagnetic field (given the particular shape of the radiating conductor). The total power used to power the three environments is 4.8 Kw.
The whole power supply is guaranteed by the photovoltaic system on the roof that, even in times of low insolation, the gained energy power is sufficient to cover the membrane needs.
