A one-bedroom apartment on the Lower East Side was given a complete makeover. The building dates back to the 70’s and was sorely lacking in character. The renovation design provides it with a clean, contemporary look which will remain fresh for a long time to come.
Focused attention went to maximizing storage, A wall of closets was incorporated into the design, while a double-wide custom cherry armoire provides abundant storage while creating a beautiful millwork wall feature in the living room.
Lighting considerations led to the distinctive ceiling design. The bathroom received considerable attention, to provide the full function needed for accessibility (the husband was wheelchair-bound) while at the same time creating a bright, unique space.
