Integrating Three Entities Into One Space
When Eagle Point Credit Management relocated to their new office in Greenwich, they tasked MKDA with creating a space that would unify a number of their business entities under one cohesive image, despite two of these entities needing physical separation. Consequently, MKDA designed a space with a classic, uncomplicated aesthetic that seamlessly integrates the distinct institutions through high-end central gathering areas and strategic planning.
First, MKDA devised a shared public reception and conference center at the front of the office that features an executive pantry, two conference rooms and a boardroom with fabric wrapped panels, a custom Woodtech solid-surface table with seamless drawers along the edge for IT/AV and access to the waterfront terrace. The project team also incorporated a sophisticated lounge area, server and IT room and an intimate cafe with high top seating, all meant to spontaneously connect employees across organizations.
Uncomplicated Design Highlights Scenery
A wood slat feature wall provides wayfinding into the separate private areas, where Eagle Point and Marble Point were provided with their own amenity spaces and open trading floors. The design team added 23 private offices along the central core of the space to create a division between the business units as well.
Both workspaces take full advantage of the adjacent harbor views and facilitate the spread of natural light through expansive glass windows and office fronts. In combination with the neural color palette and motorized sit-to-stand workstations, the trading space feels very open and showcases the breathtaking surrounding scenery. This crisp and sleek style continues into the boardrooms where potted plants, handsome wood tones and simple black and white furnishings replicate the nearby landscape, providing a sense of serenity.
