DUO is the combination of two apartments of 50 square meters each, designed by the Ukrainian interior designer Andrey Sokruta for a family with two children aged 4 and 8 years.
The designer, using a modern minimalist style, designed an open space consisting of the combination of a kitchen and a living room, a master bedroom with a working space, a large dressing room, two rooms for children and two bathrooms.
The modern and elegant kitchen, made of granite, has the same colour as the walls of the living room, and for this reason, it seems an integral part of it. Only a large and soft yellow and grey sofa divides them visually. The stucco applied on the walls comes from the famous Ukrainian production FACTURA.UA.
Andrey Sokruta's project also included a spacious living room, without bulky furniture or partitions, where he provided a tv, open shelving, coffee tables from the Italian factory Tomasella and two decorative wooden panels from the studio MARSO.
The master bedroom, designed in the ex-kitchen area, was decorated by the designer Andrey Sokruta with a minimalist style, completed by the wooden floor on which rests an elegant carpet, curtain lighting and a closet literally dug into a niche that looks almost invisible. There is also a working area where the designer has placed a Sonny PX desk and chairs from the Italian factory Midj.
The MDF painted dressing room also contains a washing machine, a water purification system and a gun safe.
For children aged 4 and 8, Andrey Sokruta Workshop has designed two similar rooms in bright and positive decorations, where the furniture is in harmony with the walls covered with a wear-resistant material.
The two bathrooms provided for this apartment are also in a minimalist style and decorated with monochrome mosaics that recall art deco.
All plumbing here were selected from the Italian company FIMA, while the original sink was produced by KAM Stone according to Andrey Sokruta's sketches.
Much of the lighting in the apartment comes from the Spanish factory BPM-Lighting.
