This project was initially intended to be a remodel that turned into a rebuild project. The previous construction methods proved to be inadequate and there were several deficiencies in the health, safety and welfare of the occupants that forced us to raze the building. The City's requirements would not allow us to move the building without
sacrificing the needs to make the project successful, so we demolished
most of the building while leaving a few of the walls standing. However, the City did require us to meet their Mediterranean aesthetic standards which resulted in a very good looking Dunkin Donuts that should be a prize for the franchisee. As typically found in all Dunkin Donuts locations, many functions are packed into a small footprint including a drivethru, delivery locations, prep kitchen, service area, queue area, seating and restrooms. The final product created an efficient design.
