Drop Pods are prefabricated, modular housing units developed to provide flexible and adaptable shelter across a variety of environments. In Lombok, the Pod takes on a mezzanine configuration, offering additional interior space while adjusting in height to suit the site conditions. It sits on a riverstone foundation and is raised 60 centimeters from the ground—responding to both climate and topographical needs.
Designed for versatility, Drop Pods can function as independent dwellings, home extensions, or part of a larger social housing system. Their modular structure allows for modifications based on user requirements and environmental context. Whether responding to urban growth, limited buildable land, or shifting climate conditions, the Drop Pod is a practical exploration into how small-scale architecture can support resilient and responsive living.
