The
project includes upgrading of side-entrance leading to the premises
for the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club, and replacement of an existing
refuse shed, with a new refuse storage area. The
new steel construction has the same size and location as the old waste
shed. Colour, texture and materials are in keeping with the existing
main building. The
canopy over the entrance door is unchanged, as demanded by the local
conservation authorities. The white masonry screen wall, however, will
be removed and replaced by a free-standing light glass sculpture,
containing information boards and logo, which will discreetly screen the
entrance from the refuse area.
